Washington, D.C., November 1, 2010 –Attendees at the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Greenbuild annual conference can earn continuing education credit approved by the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES). Landscape architects and related design professionals can access the 151 approved Greenbuild sessions through the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) at laces.asla.org. Greenbuild takes place this November 17-19 in Chicago. “Nearly half of all LA CES courses deal with different aspects of sustainability. Since Greenbuild is one of the top conferences for our members, it makes perfect sense for us to work with USGBC to expand continuing education opportunities for landscape architecture professionals,” said ASLA Executive Vice President and CEO Nancy Somerville, Hon. ASLA. Through LA CES, professionals can search for courses by topic, location, date and education provider, as well as track their individual course records. Providers include details explaining whether their course meets the LA CES definition of health, safety and welfare. Twenty jurisdictions in the United States and Canada now accept courses offered by LA CES providers for continuing licensure education credit. For more information, visit laces.asla.org. For more information about Greenbuild, visit www.greenbuildexpo.org. View this release online at: http://www.asla.org/NewsReleaseDetails.aspx?id=29985
